Job Summary

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment is seeking a highly skilled Trauma Registry Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for monitoring and resolving software problems with our central site registry vendor, serving as a liaison between our department and the vendor, and performing routine data analysis to ensure data quality and validation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Resolve problems, answer questions, and provide information to facilitate the use of the Trauma Registry
  • Coordinate trauma registry and report writer training events for new and experienced users
  • Develop education for users of the trauma registry, including objectives and training materials
  • Provide initial instruction and technical assistance to trauma registry clientele
  • Monitor and assist in resolving program application issues
  • Communicate information shared, concerns received, resolutions or lack thereof to the appropriate groups
  • Develop and update program website content
  • Maintain and update program's contact database
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Healthcare, Communication, or Information Systems
  • Experience in planning, implementing, and monitoring program activities may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency
  • Valid Driver's License
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in software application design or Microsoft Access database design
  • Experience developing and coordinating programs with community organizations and partners
  • Experience developing and presenting educational materials
  • Interpersonal communication and writing skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Meeting facilitation and public speaking
  • Proofreading, editing, attention to detail
  • Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
