The Texas Department of Criminal Justice is seeking a highly qualified Clinical Psychologist to serve as the Director of Mental Health Services. This position is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the mental health services team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to inmates.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical supervision and guidance to mental health staff
- Develop and implement mental health programs and services
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of care
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Recruit, train, and evaluate mental health staff
- Doctoral degree in Psychology from an accredited institution
- Two years of full-time, wage-earning clinical psychology experience
- Experience in administration or management in a psychological therapeutic environment preferred
- Psychological testing experience preferred
- Correctional clinical psychology experience preferred
- Current, active, unrestricted license as a Psychologist by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists or by a state with which the Board has reciprocity
