As a key member of our parts department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing inventory, and ensuring seamless parts sales processes.
Key Responsibilities- Parts Sales and Inventory Management: Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish, including stocking and pulling parts, working with service and technicians, and communicating with customers.
- Customer Service: Provide friendly and professional communication with staff and customers, effectively addressing customer parts status and providing high-level service to both internal and external customers.
- Order Fulfillment: Pull and fill orders from stock, maintain weekly bin checks to ensure accuracy of stock, and notify the parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.
- Estimate Verification: Review body shop estimates to verify the parts ordered are correct and all pricing is in line with the estimate.
- Payment and Billing: Receive payment from retail customers or obtain credit authorization.
- Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent and prior auto parts sales experience (preferred).
- Interpersonal and Time Management Skills: Strong interpersonal and time management skills, with the ability to read and interpret safety and maintenance documents.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts, including discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
