Job Summary:

Ochsner Health is seeking a highly skilled Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, you will provide high-quality patient care to critically ill neonates and infants in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide primary medical management and emergency stabilization of critically ill neonates and infants
  • Collaborate with the Medical Director and NICU team to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Participate in daily rounds and manage a caseload of patients in the NICU
  • Provide education and support to families and healthcare teams
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research and best practices in neonatal care

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in nursing
  • Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license in the state of practice
  • Certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner through the National Certification Corporation for the Obstetric, Gynecologic and Neonatal Nursing Specialties (NCC)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association
