2. **Cost Analysis:** Conduct thorough cost variance analyses to identify trends and proactively address potential budgetary impacts.
3. **Reporting Oversight:** Review and analyze monthly financial and progress reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
4. **Contract Evaluation:** Assess contract modifications and amendments for their implications on budget and timelines.
5. **Invoice Review:** Ensure invoices meet compliance standards and are accurately coded according to financial encumbrances.
6. **Task Order Management:** Review task order requests and change orders to confirm budget availability and precise cost reporting.
7. **Collaboration:** Engage with various technical leads to communicate issues that may affect financial outcomes.
8. **Policy Implementation:** Ensure adherence to organizational policies and procedures related to cost management across capital projects with diverse funding sources.
9. **Financial Interface Support:** Act as the primary point of contact for all financial inquiries related to assigned projects.
10. **Travel Requirements:** Be prepared to travel to project sites as necessary.
Qualifications:
- **Experience:** 3-5 years in program or project controls within a construction context.
- **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field. Additional relevant experience may substitute for educational requirements on a year-for-year basis.
- **Project Lifecycle Knowledge:** Familiarity with the complete project lifecycle is essential.
- **Cost Management Expertise:** Understanding of cost/schedule management principles, earned value management, change management, forecasting, and risk assessment.
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, advanced Excel capabilities, and familiarity with project management software such as Proliance or Data-Warehouse, particularly in educational facility contexts.
