Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Geisinger Wyoming Valley. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations, equipment operation, and maintaining related records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform standardized radiological radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations utilizing proper patient position, identification, and exposure techniques.
  • Operate and maintain all equipment within the modality, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Set up and adjust immobilization and radiation protective equipment and devices as needed.
  • Review and analyze patient body size, thickness, age, physical condition, and suspected pathology to perform examinations effectively.
  • Assist physicians with various procedures and report equipment malfunctions and the need for adjustments or repairs.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records and notations of patient examinations and procedures.
  • Participate in Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures and educational training of students as required.
Requirements
  • Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology.
  • Certification as a Certified Radiology Technologist within 24 months from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Excellent communication, organizing, and preceptor skills.
