Job Summary

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) with expertise in Orthopedic Trauma to join our healthcare team. As a RN Ortho Trauma Med Surg, you will provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the hospital. You will work closely with the clinical team to create and implement a care plan that meets each patient's needs.

Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical and administrative support on the unit, ensuring accountability of all assigned tasks.
  • Instruct and educate patients and family members on their care and treatment.
  • Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
  • Coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Licensed or license eligible, as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia through the Board of Health Professions.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
