Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Breastfeeding Specialist to join our team at Recruitics JB. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for coordinating, planning, and managing patient, family, and staff education related to breastfeeding.

Collaborating with physicians, inpatient nursing, clinics, special delivery, and home care, you will facilitate efficient and timely transition from hospital to home for breastfeeding mothers and babies. Your expertise will be essential in identifying, assessing, and following up with patients in need of post-hospitalization care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Consult with lactating mothers to address breastfeeding problems and provide education and advice.
  • Plan, organize, and deliver lactation management services to breastfeeding patients, both in-patient and outpatient.
  • Perform systematic follow-up on breastfeeding mother and baby, referring any abnormal findings to physicians.
  • Communicate with nursing staff, physicians, and other staff as needed to ensure seamless care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of assessment, lactation services provided, evaluation, and follow-up in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in Obstetric and/or Newborn nursing.
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Registered Nurse License (Hawaii) required at hire.
  • International Board Lactation Consultant Examiners Certificate from International Board of Certified Lactation Consultants.
  • Basic Life Support from American Heart Association.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program from American Academy of Pediatrics.
