- Document and verbally communicate the patient's response to the nursing plan of care or the medication or treatment including observing patients for adverse reactions to medications or treatments and performing routine laboratory tests.
- Contribute to the revision of the nursing plan of care.
- Provide education and information to patients and family members.
- Participate in the departmental orientation of new employees in a positive manner, shares knowledge, experiences, and provides guidance when assigned.
- Maintain professional growth and development within nursing field.
- Graduate of an accredited practical or vocational nursing program.
- Current Ohio License as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
- Basic Life Support(BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA).
- If in an ED, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) through American Heart Association (AHA) upon hire or within one year of beginning work in the Emergency Department.
- One year of patient care experience preferred.
