Job Title: Lecturer, Design-Build Manager

Job Summary:
The School of Architecture, Planning, and Landscape Architecture at Auburn University invites applications for the position of Lecturer and Rural Studio Design-Build Manager. The successful candidate will assist in the teaching of undergraduate architecture studios and teach lecture courses and seminars/workshops in Auburn's Rural Studio design-build program located in Newbern, Alabama.

Key Responsibilities:
Ensure students are supervised by a competent, experienced professional who has a strong understanding of construction safety practices, risk identification, and mitigation
Maintain job sites in neat, working order to ensure both safety and instructability
Maintain Rural Studio Shop in neat, working order to ensure both safety and instructability
Ensure projects are designed and constructed to meet requisite regulatory compliance
Assist and instruct students on logistical planning, procurement, and general constructability of design-build projects
Provide safety training on construction activities conducted at Rural Studio
Coordinate with Rural Studio leadership, faculty, and staff on the scheduling of site activities, space allocation, and material coordination
Assist curricular-based activities that are central to Rural Studio's core mission of teaching and research

Requirements:
Master of Architecture, Master of Science in Architecture, or a Bachelor of Architecture and a terminal degree in a related field
5 years of relevant experience within the design or construction industry
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to meet eligibility requirements for work in the United States at the time employment begins and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment
