Job Overview

The Estimator Specialist will be responsible for preparing competitive fixed price quotations for maritime ship repair/refit and industrial repair/refit.

About the Role

This position involves determining work procedures, crew size, machines/tooling, sub-contractors, material, and accessories required to accomplish work at a competitive price and acceptable margins.

The successful candidate will maintain relationships with industry suppliers, vendors, and clients, while also maintaining and updating the contract pipeline in coordination with Management.

A strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills is required to excel in this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate bill of material (BOM) quotations in a timely manner
  • Conduct ship-checks / site-checks as required to properly scope work
  • Build estimates and quotes using approved corporate policies
Requirements
  • High School Diploma and/or some college or technical training preferred
  • 5-10 years of experience in estimating and planning
Working Conditions

This role may involve hazardous situations including fall / trip hazards, fire hazards, confined space entry, loud environments exceeding 40dB, and climbing, crouching, and kneeling movements.

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this role is $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
