Laboratory Testing Technologist

As a Clinical Laboratory Specialist at ICONMA, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of laboratory testing. Your responsibilities will include:
- Specimen Management: Adhere to established protocols for handling and processing specimens, ensuring that all analyses and reports are meticulously maintained.
- Quality Assurance: Keep comprehensive records that confirm proficiency testing samples are treated with the same diligence as patient specimens.
- Analytical Procedures: Conduct specimen analyses utilizing approved testing methodologies, in accordance with departmental standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Results Management: Review and validate test outcomes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Regulatory Compliance: Follow guidelines set forth by CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and other safety protocols to maintain a secure laboratory environment.
- Quality Control: Uphold the laboratory's quality control measures, documenting all activities related to quality assurance, instrument calibration, and maintenance.
- Performance Monitoring: Address any discrepancies in test systems promptly, reporting issues to senior staff or supervisors as necessary.
- Corrective Actions: Document all remedial actions taken when performance standards are not met.
- Critical Results Reporting: Adhere to departmental procedures for communicating critical results to clients.
- Customer Interaction: Provide assistance and respond to inquiries from clients and laboratory personnel when required.
- Record Keeping: Maintain thorough documentation of all testing activities conducted on-site.
- Department Maintenance: Ensure the laboratory environment is well-organized and presentable.
- Reagent Management: Monitor reagents and test kits for receipt dates, expiration dates, and opened dates where applicable.
- Training and Development: Participate in training sessions on new procedures and attend departmental meetings for ongoing education.
- Safety Training: Engage in all relevant safety training sessions, familiarizing yourself with the safety manual and equipment.
- Regulatory Inspections: Assist in inspections conducted by governmental or regulatory agencies as needed.
- Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
