Job Title: Audio Video Engineer

About the Role:

At Lorven Technologies, we are seeking a highly skilled Audio Video Engineer to join our team. As an AV Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and overseeing audio visual systems throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal design engineers on a project-by-project basis to ensure seamless execution.
  • Design and implement audio visual systems that meet the highest standards of quality and functionality.
  • Develop and maintain wiring diagrams, schematics, and elevations to ensure accurate documentation.
  • Work with external vendors to source and maintain the correct hardware and equipment.
  • Identify trends in support operations to proactively prevent problems and develop processes to resolve.
  • Take corrective actions to solve problems in a timely manner with minimal impact to the user.
  • Support and troubleshoot Apple devices, including Apple TVs, iPads, MacBooks, and iMacs.
  • Able to thrive in a dynamic environment and adapt to change in work and priorities.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise/corporate/commercial audio visual system design.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent teamwork skills.
  • Familiarity with macOS, Linux, Pages, Numbers, Excel, and other relevant software.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD drafting and modeling is strongly preferred.
  • Strong experience with major industry manufacturers, including Extron, Crestron, Cisco, and others.
  • Ability to independently troubleshoot and root cause AV systems issues.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks/projects.
  • Strong aptitude for logical and strategic thinking.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Knowledge and experience in IT network communications.
  • Great interpersonal skills, able to interface with colleagues and customers.
  • Must be highly energetic, well organized, and responsible.
  • Must be able to track projects in detail with a focus on accurate deliverability dates.
