Job Summary

Point C Health is seeking a highly skilled Financial Manager to join their team in Lexington, KY. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining general ledger accounts and business transactions, applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). This includes creating financial transactions/AJEs and producing financial reports. Additional responsibilities include evaluating transactions for proper classification and making decisions regarding the posting of the transactions. The Financial Manager will also reconcile all general ledger accounts to ensure their accuracy. Furthermore, the Financial Manager will interact with the Operations team to ensure billing data quality and revenue integrity.

Point C Health is a third-party administration platform for medical and dental benefits for self-insured employers. Point C's mission is to support TPA partners through business process innovations and product solutions that drive value for employers and enhance the member experience. The administrative services we provide include claims processing, network management, and utilization review

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that general ledger accounts are reconciled to subsidiary records on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy
  • Assist in financial statement preparation through account classifications and transactional coding
  • Compile, code, categorize, calculate, tabulate, audit, or verify billing information or data
  • Provide guidance and expert advice to management or other groups on technical, systems-, or process-related topics for Care Management Billing
  • Maintain appropriate staffing levels/ratios to support projected growth
  • Produce monthly billing statements
  • Manage the processing of cash receipts, recording of revenue and receivables and work closely with the operations team to ensure that revenues and receivables are reconciled at any given time
  • Perform daily cash and bank reconciliation and record corresponding journal entries
  • Perform accounts payable functions
  • Perform general account analysis and reconciliations, including bank statements, fixed assets, inventory, accruals, and prepaid expenses
  • Coordinate operational activities with external stakeholders including billing data vendor
  • Assemble information for external auditors for the annual audit
  • Calculate and issue financial analysis of the divisional financial statements
  • Calculate variances from the budget and summarize findings for management
  • Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements as required
  • Occasionally engage in assignments for upper management to address long term planning and risk assessments including budgeting, forecasting and acquisition modeling
  • Ability to interact, coordinate and communicate effectively internally with senior management and externally with vendors
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or business administration
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software Suite
  • Knowledge of GAAP and bookkeeping
