City Clerk-Treasurer Job Opportunity

The City of Rice Lake is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the position of City Clerk-Treasurer. This is a full-time, salaried role that requires a bachelor's degree in public administration or a related field, as well as specialized municipal government training and experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Issuing licenses and permits
  • Registering voters and administering elections
  • Coordinating Common Council and committee meeting agendas and meeting minutes
  • Maintaining records and preparing property taxes
  • Accounting and financial reporting

The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of electronic data processing equipment/software, modern office practices, and accounting principles and procedures. Additionally, the City seeks candidates with Wisconsin Certified Professional Clerk (WCPC) or Certified Municipal Treasurer of Wisconsin (CMTW) designation, and the ability to maintain these certifications throughout employment.

Benefits:

  • Salary range of $88,750-$95,250/yr, dependent upon qualifications and experience
