Job Title: CDL Driver

We are seeking a skilled CDL Driver to join our transportation team at Goodwill Industries of Arkansas.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating commercial vehicles, transporting goods, and handling touch freight with efficiency and care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate and navigate commercial vehicles, including trucks and trailers, in various road and weather conditions.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Load and unload touch freight using proper equipment and techniques.
  • Complete necessary paperwork, such as delivery receipts and logbooks.
  • Provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely and professional interactions with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to minimize accidents and injuries, especially during touch freight handling.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on vehicles and report any issues to the maintenance department.
  • Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
Requirements:
  • High school or GED, plus specialized schooling and/or on-the-job education in a specific skill area.
  • 4 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid state driver's license and be insurable by the company insurance carrier.
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements.
  • Clean driving record with no history of major accidents or violations.
  • Proven experience as a CDL Driver or similar role.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and time-management abilities.
  • Familiarity with DOT regulations and compliance.
Working Conditions:

The CDL Driver will work in an outside environment, with exposure to various weather conditions and potentially disagreeable working conditions.

Physical Requirements:

The CDL Driver must be able to sit, stand, and drive for extended periods, lift and move items weighing up to 100 pounds, and perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance tasks.
