Job Overview

Department: Maintenance

Reports To: Chief Engineer

Supervises: N/A

Objective: To ensure the upkeep and repair of the hotel's physical infrastructure utilizing various hand and power tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct routine maintenance of the hotel, pool, and surrounding premises, including minor painting, plumbing, electrical work, HVAC tasks, and other related activities using hand tools.
  2. Alert management regarding the necessity for significant repairs or enhancements to lighting, heating, and ventilation systems.
  3. Address guest service requests in accordance with company standards and maintain records of completed tasks.
  4. Remain accessible to the Front Desk and Chief Engineer for coordination.
  5. Familiarize oneself with emergency protocols.
  6. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

  1. Ability to interpret and utilize specifications.
  2. Capable of working with precise measurements.
  3. Proficient in basic arithmetic for measuring, calculating material requirements, and inspecting compliance with standards.
  4. Ability to lift and transport materials and products.
  5. Competence in climbing and maintaining balance.
  6. Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience: Minimum of 1 year of relevant maintenance experience required

Licenses/Certifications: Technical certifications such as HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, etc., are advantageous.
