Job Summary

The Fleet Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance of a fleet of heavy equipment, ensuring that all vehicles and machinery are in good working condition and meet safety and regulatory standards. This role requires strong leadership and technical skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with a team to achieve goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of technicians responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment
  • Plan and schedule repair work to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively
  • Monitor operational performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Conduct quality control inspections to ensure that all work meets safety and regulatory standards
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of technicians
  • Manage inventory and supplies to ensure that all necessary equipment and parts are available
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that maintenance activities are aligned with business objectives
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; automotive service excellence certification preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in maintenance working with heavy equipment
  • 1+ year of supervisory experience in a lead technician role or similar position
  • Strong leadership and technical skills, with ability to work effectively with a team
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
