We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to serve as a Lead in our community health setting. As a key member of our clinical team, you will be responsible for supervising clinical support staff, ensuring training needs are met, and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and train clinical support staff to ensure high-quality patient care
- Conduct periodic audits of clinical documentation and processes
- Provide orientation and training to nursing and medical assistant staff
- Support clinical providers by completing vital signs, initial history, and procedure setup
- Perform nurse visits for medication administration, refills, and patient education
- Manage and maintain pharmacy inventory, including ordering and inventory
- Oversee vaccine inventory and reporting
- Manage OSHA, MSDS programs, and serve as Lead Emergency Response Team Lead
- Facilitate referrals to other medical professionals as directed by clinical providers
- Perform telephone triage and participate in Quality Management studies
- Minimum of 5 years direct clinical experience, preferably in a pediatric, family practice, or internal medicine setting
- Previous supervisory experience in an outpatient clinical setting
- Current license as a Vocational Nurse in the State of Texas
- Advanced vocational education required to obtain licensure as a LVN or higher
- Knowledge and experience with OSHA, TDH, and regulatory requirements for clinical practice operations
- Knowledge and understanding of Federal, State, and private payor implications for back-office processes
The activity for this position requires the employee to work in-person onsite in a clinical setting. May be required to work alternative schedules. Must be able to move, transport, position, and lift up to 15 pounds as needed.
