UPMC Home Healthcare is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist to support the Millvale and surrounding areas. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform system-wide competencies and behaviors to ensure exceptional patient care.
  • Attend compliance training and adhere to UPMC Home Healthcare's standards of conduct, policies, and procedures.
  • Focus on customer service and continually strive to perform duties in a manner that results in optimal satisfaction.
  • Identify and participate in process improvement opportunities to enhance the quality of services provided.
  • Perform duties and job responsibilities in alignment with UPMC Home Healthcare's service management philosophy.
  • Continually develop professional skills through ongoing continuing education.
  • Participate in on-call coverage rotation for the agency.
  • Assign and supervise Physical Therapy Assistants according to state guidelines.
  • Advise and consult with families, inter-disciplinary team members, physicians, and other professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Maintain and complete all documentation promptly and accurately, including visit assessments, OASIS, and verbal orders.
  • Establish plans of care in collaboration with physicians, patients, and UM professionals.
  • Evaluate, plan, and treat patients in an effective physical therapy program, utilizing diagnostic testing and making recommendations for necessary DME.
Requirements:
  • Graduate from a physical therapy curriculum approved by the American Physical Therapy Association or equivalent.
  • Minimum one year of clinical experience to practice without supervision or less than one year if practicing under supervision.
  • CPR certification based on AHA standards.
  • Automotive insurance and driver's license.
  • Act 33 and Act 34 clearances.
  • OAPSA certification.
