Job Description:

Aims Community College is seeking a highly skilled CDL Field Trainer to join our team. As a CDL Field Trainer, you will be responsible for providing administrative third-party training for Commercial Driver's License Training group. You will work closely with CDL testers and must be comfortable with clients of diverse backgrounds, work ethics, and skill levels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Train students in all areas of trucking/driving.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge and understanding of all state regulations concerning the operation of a CMV.
  • Determine skill level and test-readiness of students.
Requirements:
  • Hold a CDL of the same (or higher) class, and with all endorsements necessary, to operate the CMV for which training is to be provided.
  • Meet all applicable State qualification requirements for CMV instructors.
  • Have a minimum of two years' experience operating a CMV requiring a CDL of the same (or higher) class, or the same endorsement.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least two-years' experience as a CDL instructor or closely-related field teaching experience.
  • Colorado State-Certified CDL Instructor.
