Key Responsibilities:
If you possess strong leadership abilities and have a passion for logistics, this Logistics Operations Supervisor role is ideal for you. As a leader in evidence-based rehabilitation, we are looking for committed individuals to join our growing team.
- Conduct interviews and onboard new Logistics Officers, while providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
- Oversee daily operations of the logistics team, ensuring compliance with facility requirements and transportation regulations.
- Ensure that all facility vehicles comply with policies and procedures, receiving necessary maintenance, inspections, and repairs to meet legal standards.
- Review safety records for assigned vehicles and drivers.
- Thoroughly investigate and report any incidents.
- Facilitate safety meetings, maintain communication with transportation authorities, and complete required training hours annually.
Qualifications:
Essential Competencies:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum age of twenty-one (21) years.
- At least six (6) months of experience in the transportation of detainees and inmates.
- Valid Class B or Class C Chauffeurs Drivers License (CDL) with Passenger (P) endorsement within six (6) months of hire.
- Completion of eighty (80) hours of certified driver training within six (6) months of hire, in accordance with U.S. Department of Transportation guidelines.
- Current driver’s license with a clean driving record and successful completion of company and DOT drug and alcohol testing.
- Supervisory experience with certification in Corrections, Law Enforcement, or Military.
- Completion of necessary DOT training and certifications in CPR, First Aid, Defensive Tactics, and Firearms.
- Familiarity with state regulations pertaining to corrections.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse individuals.
- Aptitude for interpreting complex written and verbal instructions and making independent decisions.
- Ability to work collaboratively, manage stress, and adapt to varying environmental conditions.
- Proficiency in utilizing computers and relevant software for reporting, scheduling, and data management.
Physical Demands:
- Frequently: lift, carry, push or pull up to 60 lbs. or more; reach above shoulder level, operate machinery, climb, walk, stand, sit, and work in extreme temperatures.
- Continuously: bend and stoop.
Compensation: USD $101,771.00 annually
