Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Rental Coordinator to join our team at Quinn Company CAT. As a key member of our rental team, you will be responsible for renting and selling Caterpillar and Allied equipment to maximize revenue and provide exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Rental customer service activities, including taking calls, answering questions, and quoting rates.
  • Assisting customers in choosing the correct equipment size, mix, and model for their application and job site requirements.
  • Promoting the use of Caterpillar products for all rental needs.
  • Maintaining a proactive and creative posture to increase rental sales activity and profitability.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely rental transactions, including invoicing, insurance verification, credit checks, and payment terms.
  • Scheduling and coordinating equipment hauling to support customer needs through appropriate channels and processing billing.
  • Updating rental transactions and related information into the Rentalman database.
  • Performing rental equipment check-in and check-out.
  • Coordinating and scheduling maintenance and repairs with the Service Department, monitoring repair status and costs.
  • Working with the Service Department to identify and bill customers for equipment abuse.
  • Investigating and resolving customer problems with equipment deliveries, repairs, billing, and related logistics.
  • Making recommendations to management regarding changes in the rental fleet mix and equipment needs to maximize revenue.
  • Assisting outside Sales Representatives as needed.
  • Assisting with other counter operations and rental store functions as needed and requested by the store manager.
  • Advising management of significant competitive sales and rental activities.
  • Representing Quinn Company CAT in a professional manner that promotes the goals and values set forth by Quinn Company and the Caterpillar organization.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
