Under the supervision of the Environmental Services Director and Assistant Director, the Housekeeping professional is tasked with ensuring cleanliness throughout the facility and contributing to a hygienic and welcoming atmosphere. This role may also involve assisting with laundry services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute daily cleaning tasks as assigned
  • Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, ledges, and HVAC units in resident rooms and common areas as directed
  • Sanitize and/or polish restroom fixtures
  • Wash windows and mirrors in resident rooms, communal spaces, restrooms, and entryways
  • Maintain floors through sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting as required
  • Clean walls as necessary
  • Utilize appropriate cleaning and disinfecting agents while ensuring that adequate supplies are stocked
  • Dispose of waste in designated containers, including proper handling of infectious materials
  • Prepare vacant rooms for new residents by cleaning and sanitizing
  • Collect, sort, and launder resident clothing and linens, returning them to rooms upon completion
  • Repair or mend clothing when feasible
  • Notify supervisor of any maintenance needs
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience in long-term care or hospitality preferred
  • Commitment to assisting others
  • Strong customer service abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Physical demands include lifting up to 35 pounds, pushing and pulling objects of similar weight, and maintaining mobility throughout the workday.
