About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Lead Building Engineer to oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of all commercial building systems at Lincoln Property Company.

Responsibilities
  • Building Systems Management: Responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC, water treatment, electrical, lighting, plumbing, energy management, fire protection, structural, hardware, and keying systems.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Install, fabricate, construct, troubleshoot, and repair complex mechanical and electrical equipment with minimal supervision.
  • Work Planning and Execution: Receive work assignments, plan tasks, obtain necessary tools and materials, and complete assignments in a timely manner.
  • Equipment Knowledge: Demonstrate expertise in the equipment being serviced and employ service procedures and techniques indicative of high-quality work.
  • Safety and Efficiency: Possess knowledge of safe and efficient operation of all equipment, power tools, and hand tools.
  • Shop and Equipment Maintenance: Responsible for keeping shop areas, equipment rooms, and common spaces clean, organized, and safe.
  • Emergency Response: Available for various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to respond to emergencies such as fire, flooding, severe weather, power outages, and other situations.
  • Team Collaboration: Rotate On-Call Schedule with engineering team members, project a positive image, and demonstrate exemplary tenant relations and team spirit.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Minimum 4 years of field experience or equivalent job-related training and certification in HVAC or Operation Engineering Technologies.
  • Certifications and Training: CFC Training and Certification for the type of equipment serviced, continuing education in the field, basic computer skills for Building Automation Systems, and advanced knowledge of OSHA, NEC, and NFC codes and regulations.
  • Soft Skills: Ability to work independently, possess basic computer skills, and effectively communicate with colleagues and tenants.
Working Conditions
  • Physical Demands: Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, use arms, talk, and hear; occasionally required to sit, stoop, crouch, kneel, crawl, balance, climb stairs, and ladders.
