As a Senior Accountant, your key responsibilities will include:

  2. Implementing and maintaining robust internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws and regulations.
  3. Preparing financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  4. Conducting financial audits and preparing audit reports.
  5. Utilizing advanced Excel skills to analyze financial data and present findings.
  6. Collaborating with various departments to develop financial strategies and make recommendations to enhance profitability and financial stability.

Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or 10+ years of experience in a related field. Insurance or banking industry experience is highly desired.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, account reconciliation, and financial accounting.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in the insurance industry and/or agency experience is highly desired for this role.
