Healthcare Specialist Sales Consultant

We're seeking a highly skilled Healthcare Specialist Sales Consultant to join our team in California. This role offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $160,000 annually, with opportunities for bonuses based on sales performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Spearhead the sale of specialty products to achieve health plan market sales goals and maintain profitability.
- Advocate for specialty voluntary products to support increased enrollment and sale growth, negotiating with brokers and customers while leveraging rate banks, product discount programs, and packaged savings.
- Collaborate with broker and health plan sales teams on strategy calls related to specialty products, developing and delivering presentations as a subject matter expert.
- Conduct in-depth presentations in the market to showcase our products and services.
- Create and drive strategies for top-performing specialty agencies and brokers.
- Work closely with Sales Management and Health Plan leadership to address pipeline, persistency, market objectives, and develop competitive strategies with specific brokers and general agents.
- Support sales, product, and process education and training on employer-paid and voluntary specialty products, collaborating with AE/RAC/SAE.
- Communicate effectively on specialty topics, including marketing initiatives such as product updates, bonus programs, rate cards, and drip marketing.
- Educate sales support on quoting plan designs and product pre-implementation.
- Develop business relationships with AE/RAC/SAE as a trusted advisor to increase specialty sales.
- Assist AE/RAC/SAE in developing sales proposals, anticipating competing products, and distinguishing UHC's products from competitors.
Requirements:
- Maintain required insurance licenses in residential and non-residential states within your territory.
- Prior experience with specialty products is essential.
- Must reside within the state of California.

- Understanding and experience with ancillary coverages.
- Success in meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Excellent relationship-building and influence skills.
- Ability to understand underwriting, financial, and analytical details.
- Strong negotiation and sales closure skills.
- Able to build and maintain solid client and producer relationships with a customer-focused approach.
- Solid organizational skills to balance multiple priorities, objectives, and customer obligations.
- Solid communication and presentation skills.
