Job Opportunity

The Vistas at Bettendorf is seeking a skilled MDS Coordinator/Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' medical, functional, and psychosocial needs
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of the Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments and care plans for our patients
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Current, unencumbered, active state license to practice as an RN/LPN
  • Minimum 1 year of MDS experience required
  • Experience in Skilled Nursing/Rehabilitation facilities preferred
  • Ability to utilize clinical documentation improvement strategies to ensure accurate coding and billing
  • Collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans
  • Monitoring and updating patient records in compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Providing education and training to staff on MDS completion and documentation best practices
  • Prior experience in HEDIS reporting and medical documentation
  • Knowledge of hospice care, case management, and utilization management practices
  • Understanding of Diagnosis Related Groups (DRG) and reimbursement methodologies
