Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Wireless Stability Engineer, Cellular to join our team at Apple. As a key member of our Wireless Software group, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and patenting cutting-edge wireless connectivity technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute system overall stability tests on Apple products
  • Collaborate with platform architecture, standardization, firmware/protocol development, system test & carrier engineering teams to drive improvement proposals and baseband optimizations
  • Work with diagnostics, analytics, lab/field experimentations to exploit opportunities for improvement
  • Develop and execute test strategies, test plans, and execute them with automation or manual testing
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electronics and Communications Engineering, Computer Science or related field
  • 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation
  • 1 year of experience with each of the following skills: 5G, LTE, UMTS, CDMA, or GSM, MTBF, Stability Testing, Automation tools, test suits, or execution, Knowledge in testing the cellular protocols, Experience in operating simulators, Access Stratum, Non-Access Stratum, 3GPP and ETSI standard
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with testing cellular technologies such as 5G NR FR1 and mmW, LTE, IMS
  • Deep understanding of Cellular Protocol stack, SQA methodologies & practices
  • Automation experience and knowledge of modern scripting or compiled languages (Python, Obj-C, Swift)
  • Outstanding communication skills vital to collaborate with multi-functional teams
  • An analytical, methodical, and creative problem solver committed to driving quality forward
