Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team at First Choice Community Health. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy services, working closely with our pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enter new and refill prescription orders into the computer system, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Verify patient information, including insurance coverage and medication allergies, to ensure safe and effective medication management.
  • Process and manage medication inventory, including ordering and stocking supplies.
  • Prepare and package medications for patients, including labeling and packaging.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including daily transaction reports and controlled substance reports.
  • Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to resolve medication-related issues and improve patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Pharmacy Technician certification required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
