Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at First Choice Community Health. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy services.

• Enter new and refill prescription orders into the computer system, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
• Verify patient information, including insurance coverage and medication allergies, to ensure safe and effective medication dispensing.
• Process and fill prescriptions, including labeling and packaging medications.
• Maintain accurate records and reports, including daily transaction reports and controlled substance reports.
• Assist with prepackaging medications for outreach personnel and maintaining office supplies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director of Pharmacy Services.

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Pharmacy Technician certification required.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English and Spanish.
• Basic math skills and ability to apply concepts of basic mathematics.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

The work environment is moderate, with occasional exposure to noise and stress. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive patient information.
