About the Role
">We are seeking a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to join our team at Sorenson Communications. As a Community Liaison, you will play a vital role in facilitating communication between Deaf and hearing individuals in our community.
">Key Responsibilities

- Hearing interpreters will effectively interpret between American Sign Language (ASL) and spoken English, while Deaf interpreters will interpret between ASL, Tactile American Sign Language, other forms of visual communication, and written English.">
- You will adhere to Sorenson policies and procedures, as well as the National Association of the Deaf - Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf Code of Professional Conduct.">
- Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a respectful and professional attitude with customers and colleagues.">
Requirements
">- ">
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate's or bachelor's degree is preferred but not necessary.">
- You must have interpreter certification and three years of experience working as an interpreter, although this is not mandatory.">
- The ability to pass a skills assessment and travel independently in the metropolitan area is essential.">

Salary Range
">The estimated salary range for this position is $25-$60 per hour, depending on your location, education level, and certifications.
