Job Summary

Amergis is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Clackamas, Oregon. As a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care to telemetry/progressive care patients. This is a full-time opportunity with a guaranteed 36-hour contract, offering a competitive pay package and benefits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care on a progressive care unit.
  • Perform focused interviews to identify specific patients' needs and assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient's condition.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data and information from healthcare members and document actual and/or potential nursing diagnoses.
  • Develop and implement a plan of care using identified nursing diagnoses, expected patient outcomes, and selected nursing interventions.
  • Identify and prioritize actions based on patient care requirements and perform interventions according to identified priorities, plan of care, and hospital policies and patient care outcome standards.
  • Provide a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic patient environment and initiate and evaluate patient and/or family education.
  • Revises the plan of care according to evaluation, changes in medical plan of care, effective/ineffective nursing interventions, and documents patient's response to nursing and other interventions.
  • Use clinical judgment in evaluation activities to meet patient care needs of an assigned unit/floor, including establishing priorities, monitoring safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipment, and ensuring compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice.
Requirements
  • Current Registered Nurse License for the state in which the nurse practices.
  • One year prior professional nursing experience, preferably with one year progressive care unit experience.
  • Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice, participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicable, and current CPR certification.
  • Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals, including supervisors, coworkers, clients, via strong communication skills, and proficiency in the English language.
  • Computer proficiency required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
