About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our team in rural Alaska. As a CRNA with PeaceHealth, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality patient care in a variety of settings.

Job Summary

This is a Relief/per diem position working in our 25-bed critical-access hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering anesthesia services to patients undergoing various surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing high-quality anesthesia care to patients of all ages
  • Working collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with patients and their families
Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess a diverse skill set and experience in rural medicine. They should be comfortable practicing solo and have a strong interest in working on a relief/as needed basis. Required procedures include ultrasound-guided blocks, OB labor epidurals, and central lines.

Practice Highlights

We offer a unique practice experience that includes:

  • A regular schedule from Monday to Friday, with every third day being home call
  • No secondary call duties
  • Rare cases requiring on-call services

Ketchikan Medical Center, a 25-bed critical-access hospital, has been serving the communities of Southeast Alaska since 1923. Our facility offers comprehensive trauma care, outpatient, and home health services, as well as a 29-bed long-term care facility.

Our Team

You will be part of a dedicated team of healthcare professionals who share a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. Our trauma IV emergency department operates 24/7, staffed by physicians who are independent contractors employed by National Emergency Services (NES).

Compensation and Benefits

As a CRNA with PeaceHealth, you can expect a competitive hourly rate based on your years of experience. Please note that rates vary between $151.05 and $166.95 per hour, depending on your level of experience.
