Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Design Engineer with a strong background in Automotive Engineering to join our team at Bold Business. As a Design Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing accurate and innovative designs that meet our clients' specifications and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in design engineering, be based near Gahanna or Columbus, Ohio, and have reliable transportation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design Engineering: Create, modify, and review 2D and 3D designs and models for automotive components and systems.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure designs meet project requirements and are aligned with client needs.
  • Documentation: Prepare detailed drawings, layouts, and assemblies, including specifications, material lists, and other related documentation.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure designs are compliant with industry standards and regulatory requirements, conducting revisions as necessary.
  • Project Support: Assist in the development and execution of design plans, contributing to project timelines and ensuring deliverables are met.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest design software developments and automotive industry trends, implementing best practices in design processes.
  • Site Visits: Occasionally travel to project sites or client locations to gather information and provide design support.
  • Accomplishing related duties as required.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in design engineering, specifically within the automotive industry.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar tools.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of automotive systems, components, and design standards.
  • Location: Must be based near Gahanna, Ohio, or Columbus, Ohio, with reliable transportation.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly present design concepts.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in design work.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify design challenges and propose effective solutions.
