Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Radiation Therapist to join their team in Temple, Texas.

Job Summary

The Radiation Therapist will perform radiation therapy procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients under the general supervision of a Radiation Oncologist. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to explain the procedure to patients in a clear and concise manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality radiation therapy procedures according to exam protocol in a timely manner.
  • Maintain production and quality of imaging procedures by following established standards and procedures.
  • Utilize AIDET when communicating with patients to identify patient service requirements, ensure the correct exam is performed on the correct patient, and establish rapport with patients and others.
  • Prepares patient and area for the procedure by positioning patient, adjusting immobilization devices, moving equipment into specified position, and adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors.
  • Protects patients and employees by adhering to safety requirements, infection control, drug and radiation policies, protocols, and techniques.
Requirements
  • ARRT-T Radiation Therapy (ARRT-T) certification.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain a calm and helpful attitude, even under times of stress.
