Housekeeper Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at Hampton Inn Bridgewater, a Colwen Hotels Property. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our guest rooms and public areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive and prioritize room assignments from the manager
  • Clean, stock, and maintain assigned guest rooms according to Colwen and brand standards
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and other department inquiries
  • Check and restock cleaning supplies, transport carts to assigned floors/rooms
  • Ensure guest privacy at all times
  • Knock and announce before entering guest rooms, return at a later time if occupied
  • Check amenities and supplies in rooms, restock according to standards
  • Make beds, stock bath linens, and clean/disinfect bathrooms, kitchen, and/or coffee stations
  • Remove trash, dirty linens, towels, and room service items from rooms
  • Check appliances, straighten desk areas, and dust/polish furniture
  • Notify maintenance of needed repairs or maintenance
  • Ensure rooms meet hotel standards with final walk-around
  • Ensure soiled linens are laundered, load hotel washers and dryers, and fold sheets and towels
  • Take found items to the lost and found area
Requirements:
  • Prior experience as a cleaner or housekeeper, hotel experience preferred
  • Detail-oriented and thorough
  • Discreet and respectful of guest privacy, work with high integrity
  • Perform consistent work to the highest standard
  • Ability to work quickly without compromising quality
  • Ability to work with little supervision and maintain high performance
  • Ability to interact with guests in a pleasant and friendly way
  • Excellent prioritization and time management skills
  • Willingness to work a rotational 7-day work cycle, including weekends and holidays
