Aquatics Group Exercise Instructor Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and certified Aquatics Group Exercise Instructor to join our team at the YMCA of Central Massachusetts. As an Aquatics Group Exercise Instructor, you will be responsible for leading safe and engaging aquatic fitness classes for our members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and lead aquatic group exercise classes that cater to diverse fitness levels and interests.
  • Ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for members by maintaining a clean and organized class environment.
  • Monitor and report any damaged equipment to the supervisor.
  • Maintain accurate records and support the organization of the studio closet and equipment area.
  • Attend staff meetings and training sessions as scheduled.
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be CPR, First Aid, and AED certified or willing to obtain certification upon hire.
  • Must have at least one year of experience instructing aquatic group exercise classes and maintain proper certifications.
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
Schedule:

Weekday mid-morning and evening shifts available. Please indicate your availability.

Compensation:

$18.00 per hour, plus access to YMCA facilities, Employee Assistance Program, and Sick Leave.
