Key Responsibilities
- Ensures all food is handled and stored in accordance with facility protocols and safe food handling practices
- Assists with meal preparation as directed by the supervisor
- Prepares food items following standardized recipes while maintaining safe food handling standards
- Assists in setting up the food tray line
- Assembles dietary trays and delivers tray carts to dining areas or designated units
- Cleans dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment according to facility guidelines
- Participates in dishwashing operations and cleaning duties
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- Preferred: One year of experience in a food service role within an institutional setting
