About the Role

Leidos is seeking a Technical Writer/Curriculum Developer to join our team. As a Documentation Developer - Training Content Specialist, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining training manuals, guides, and other documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update all training content in accordance with Army standards and customer requirements.
  • Coordinate with the course manager for improvements and redesign of course material and training equipment.
  • Monitor military and commercial reference publications and keep training products updated with current material.
  • Enter training materials into the Training Development Capability (TDC) database.
  • Be responsible for accuracy in lesson material and technical manuals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree + 2 years relevant experience.
  • Must have an active Secret security clearance.
  • Experience in developing Training Manuals.
  • Strong writing skills to communicate complex technical language in simplified terms.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Editor and Reader, Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Knowledge of other editing software such as Notepad++, PTC Arbortext, and Oxygen, Interactive Authoring and Display Software (IADS4).
  • Knowledge of training processes: design, development, and delivery.
  • Verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills.
  • Ability to do extensive research and work with little supervision.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% (CONUS/OCONUS).

Salary Information

The estimated salary range for this role is $50,700.00 - $91,650.00 per year, depending on location and qualifications.
