Highpoint Health - Sumner is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Pulmonary Unit. As a Pulmonary Care Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care to patients with respiratory conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to patients with respiratory conditions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
- Document patient care given and monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Assist patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborate with the care team to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
- Evaluate learning needs of patient and/or family and provide patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in Nursing or RN Diploma - Required
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing - Preferred
- American Heart Association (AHA) OR American Red Cross Certifications - Required upon hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - Required upon hire
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - Required within 12 months of hire
- State of Tennessee or Multi-State Registered Nurse licensure - Required
