About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Highpoint Health Sumner. As a Pulmonary and Medical/Surgical Care Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
  • Document patient care given and monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
  • Assist patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Collaborate with the care team to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
  • Evaluate learning needs of patient and/or family and provide patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in Nursing or RN Diploma - Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing – Preferred
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Computer proficiency required.
  • From American Heart Association or American Red CrossBasic Life Support (BLS) - Required to be current upon hire
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - Required within 6 months of hire
