A Day in the Life:

The primary responsibilities of this position include:

  • Leading project teams through all stages of project planning, execution, and closure in alignment with established delivery processes to fulfill the scope, timeline, budget, and other specified requirements.
  • Ensuring the completion of project tasks while meeting INDOT's quality, financial, risk management, and policy standards.
  • Monitoring overall project progress and technical performance.
  • Communicating project delivery efforts to guarantee success.
  • Understanding and reviewing all functional requirements to set clear expectations and establish manageable workloads.
  • Facilitating collaboration between design and construction teams.

What You'll Need for Success:

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following qualifications:

  • Four (4) years of project management experience, or an Associate's Degree with two (2) years of project management experience, or a Bachelor's Degree.
  • Successful completion of Purdue's Project Management Essentials Course within the first 24 months of employment.
  • Ability to manage projects of low to moderate complexity and financial value, generally under $ million.
  • Strong communication skills to convey information clearly and concisely to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Capability to plan project scope and timelines in accordance with the project development process.
  • Proficiency in establishing and managing project budgets while understanding all financial implications.
  • Specialized knowledge of project standards applicable to rural, suburban, and urban settings.
  • Experience managing environmental documentation.
  • Familiarity with medium-level permit requirements.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This role may serve as a team lead for an assigned work group.
