Job Opportunity: Senior Business Analyst

Symmetrio is seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to join our team on a contract basis for a 6-month term, with the possibility of extension. The ideal candidate will be located in the Philadelphia area and able to work from our customer's office once a week.

The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for eliciting business and technical requirements from stakeholders and functional leadership, and gathering requirements for user interface, reporting, and data-related projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing pricing and cost models that enable informed business decision-making.

We are open to considering both 1099 and W2 consultants for this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct work sessions with business stakeholders and functional leads to analyze current state processes and systems.
  • Gather, document, and communicate requirements for future state reporting and user interface enhancements.
  • Work with disparate data sets to develop pricing and cost models that enable customers to make informed business decisions.
  • Develop and maintain clear, detailed, and precise documentation.
  • Manage and deliver tasks in a timely manner to ensure business profitability.
  • Identify and propose process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of implemented solutions to ensure they meet business requirements.
  • Provide post-implementation support and training to end-users as needed.
Requirements:
  • Deep understanding of data and reporting requirements gathering methodologies and processes.
  • Exceptional documentation and communication skills.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering tasks on time.
  • Experience with pricing and POS data is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and propose innovative solutions.
  • Proficiency in using Excel and data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
  • Proficiency in using requirements gathering and documentation tools, such as Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
