Job Title: R&D Product Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled R&D Product Engineer to join our team at Insight Global. As a key member of our innovation group, you will be responsible for supporting product designs and collaborating with technical, manufacturing, and business partners to identify and execute on new product development and testing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to develop and test new residential door solutions
  • Coach and mentor associate scientists, engineers, technicians, and contractors to deliver on product goals
  • Support expertise in acoustics, fire protection, and material science
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Acoustical Engineering, Physics, or similar field
  • 3+ years of new product development (NPD) and research and design (R&D) experience
  • Design experience using SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, Revit, or AutoCAD
  • Strong analysis and testing experience in FEA, vibrational analysis, thermal analysis, structural analysis, noise, or harshness (NVH)
  • Strong understanding of standards such as GD&T, ASTM, ASA, INCE, WDMA, or ISO9001
