The Medical Lab Technician will conduct various patient tests and manage administrative tasks that support clinical operations.
Flexible Hours: Options available for 4-10 hour shifts from Monday to Thursday or Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities:- Diagnose issues related to equipment, test outcomes, specimens, and workflow.
- Engage in team projects or special assignments as needed.
- Provide training for Clinical Laboratory Science students and new staff members.
- Conduct quality control and maintain laboratory equipment.
- Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests, including chemical, microscopic, and bacteriological analyses.
- Prepare specimens and reagents as necessary.
- Communicate test results to healthcare providers and consult on findings.
- Review test outcomes to ensure accuracy and timely correction of discrepancies.
Education Requirements:
• A Bachelor’s degree is required. Candidates must meet eligibility criteria to sit for the MT exam within 12 months of hire.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
• Certification must be obtained within one year of becoming eligible.
Professional Experience Requirements:
• No prior experience is necessary.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
MLT Requirements:
Education: An Associate's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Laboratory Technician, Chemical Science, or Biological Science is required.
Licensure/Certification: If holding an Associate's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technician, candidates must be eligible for ASCP or AMT Board of Certification and must achieve BOC within a year.
Professional Experience: No experience is required.
