Primary Care Physician Assistant

Job Summary:
The Oklahoma State University Department of Family Medicine is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join our team in the Family Medicine Department. This is a grant-funded position that will facilitate care in accordance with the State of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Practice (95%):
- Providing primary care medicine services to patients in the outpatient setting, including in-person and virtual medicine efforts in Tulsa and OSU Medicine and affiliated partners in rural Oklahoma.
- Traveling to engage with affiliated partners in rural and underserved Oklahoma.
- Providing onsite care for patients who adversely react to contrast media used during MRI procedures at OSU Biomedical Imaging Center.
- Ensuring compliance with OSU Health Sciences, state, regulatory, and accrediting bodies as well as organizational policies and procedures regarding the delivery of healthcare.
- Administrative Responsibilities (5%):
- Serving as a student preceptor (Physician Assistants only at this time).
- Providing classroom and laboratory instruction as well as other duties requested by the PA program.
- Engaging in research programs as the opportunity arises.
- Other duties as assigned by the Chair of Family Medicine, including community engagement, assistance in establishing effective clinical workflow, committee assignments, and engagement in project team meetings.
Environmental Hazards:
Possible exposure to hazardous materials, hot and cold, blood-borne pathogens.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and assist patients, both adults and children, stoop, reach, stand, walk, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, see, and perform repetitive motions with or without reasonable accommodations.
