Become a Key Member of Our Production Team

Are you prepared to play an essential role in our manufacturing operations? We are seeking skilled Technicians to assist in the upkeep of our extrusion machinery and enhance our production workflow.

OBJECTIVE:
To oversee daily operational activities while managing multiple extrusion lines and support the efforts of production staff involved in the manufacturing process. A solid understanding of various industry concepts, practices, and procedures is necessary. The role involves a diverse range of tasks, requiring creativity and independent thinking.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

CORE FUNCTIONS:

GENERAL:
- Attendance is crucial for this role.
- Commitment to completing a full work week is essential.
- Must possess knowledge of production methodologies within the organization.

TECHNICAL:
- Dismantle, clean, and configure extrusion dies for 2 1⁄2" to 3 1⁄2" Extruders.
- Manage materials (mixing and blending virgin or recycled materials with or without color additives).
- Conduct die maintenance, cleaning, and proper storage.
- Exhibit a fundamental understanding of the extrusion process from raw materials to finished products.
- Classify and identify materials accurately.
- Equip dies with heating elements.
- Operate and maintain Burn Out Oven.
- Manage 2 1⁄2" to 3 1⁄2" Extruders effectively.
- Comprehend the operation and maintenance of downstream equipment (Pullers, Saws, Cutters, etc.).
- Understand the functioning of encoders, foot counters/meters, rate meters, drives, pumps, compressors, coilers, and punches.

QUALITY ASSURANCE:
- Ability to visualize, interpret, and analyze blueprint designs.
- Proficient in using dial calipers and measurement tools.

ADDITIONAL OPERATIONS:
- Dismantle, set up, initiate, and sustain extrusion production lines.
- Operate a tow motor.
- Supervise extruder operations.
- Inspect components for quality.

DOCUMENTATION ACCOUNTABILITY:
Responsible for all production-related documentation:
- Extrusion Processing Data

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- The role may require sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, and sensory tasks.
- Frequent communication and manual dexterity are necessary.
- Regular standing and walking are required.
- Occasionally lifting over 100 pounds, frequently lifting up to 100 pounds, and regularly lifting up to 10 pounds.
- Specific vision capabilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
- The role may involve working in wet or humid environments, at heights, and exposure to fumes or airborne particles, as well as extreme temperatures.
- Regular exposure to electrical hazards and moving machinery is expected.
- The noise level in the workplace is typically high.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
To succeed in this position, an individual must effectively perform each essential duty. The qualifications listed below represent the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required for all new hires, along with three to five years of experience in custom profile extrusion operations.

No specific licenses or certifications are mandated.

LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY:

WRITTEN COMMUNICATION: Must articulate technical and non-technical information in writing using standard English.
- ORAL COMMUNICATION: Must effectively convey detailed information and ideas verbally using standard English. Should be able to understand and respond to feedback in conversations.

MATH SKILLS:
Must be capable of performing basic arithmetic operations and algebra.

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
This position necessitates site-specific training to perform duties satisfactorily, along with tow motor certification. Supervisory certification may also be required.
