Job Title: Store Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Store Associate to join our team at Williams Lumber. As a Store Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a safe and organized store environment, and assisting with inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide prompt and courteous service to customers, answering questions and resolving issues in a professional manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the stockroom and sales floor.
  • Assist with inventory management, including receiving and stocking merchandise, and reporting low stock levels to management.
  • Operate a forklift safely and efficiently, as needed.
  • Participate in yard maintenance activities, such as mowing, weed whacking, and snow removal.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 12 months of related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, including safety rules and operating instructions.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information to customers, associates, and vendors.
  • Ability to apply basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of situations.
Work Environment:

The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with frequent exposure to outside weather conditions. The associate will be required to work in a warehouse environment, with regular exposure to fumes or airborne particles and vibration.
