The Cardiology department at Cambridge Health Alliance, guided by the Cardiology Medical Director and the Network Cardiovascular Manager, offers a comprehensive range of diagnostic testing services, which include Stress Tests, Cardiac ultrasound, vascular assessments, and monitoring through event and Holter devices.

Role Overview: This position involves conducting a wide array of non-invasive cardiovascular assessments to furnish medical professionals with essential data for diagnostic evaluations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer a variety of cardiovascular non-invasive assessments following established protocols, ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the department. This includes:
    • 2-D cardiovascular imaging, color flow, spectral display, continuous and pulsed wave Doppler
    • Exercise/pharmacologic stress testing, harmonics, and contrast imaging
    • Holter monitoring
  • Evaluate data collection for adequacy, preparing preliminary reports suitable for physician review.
  • Identify abnormalities and critical findings, promptly notifying the physician or nursing unit as necessary, and documenting notifications as part of Quality Improvement initiatives.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Education/Training: Completion of an accredited Allied Health Program, with eligibility for registry.
  • Certifications: Current BLS Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Experience: Prior clinical experience is required.
